Women in Entrepreneurship Report

Egypt has no shortage of ambitious women starting businesses, yet this report shows how much harder the path still is for them, shaped by cultural norms, limited access to finance, uneven digital literacy, and thin support infrastructure. It combines large-scale data with roundtables and interviews with women entrepreneurs, ecosystem enablers, policymakers, and private sector players, and introduces a Gendered Ecosystem Sector Diagnostics Index that scores Egypt on digital access, finance, infrastructure, and inclusion. Real-world interviews with EGBank, AuroraTech, Nahdet Masr, and Enterprenelle ground the findings, and the report closes with a set of policy recommendations tied to Egypt's Vision 2030 and the National Strategy for the Empowerment of Egyptian Women.
