The Innovation and Commercialization Gap Report: Why Egypt's Innovation System Produces Institutions Without Outcomes
Egypt has spent years building the offices, laws, and research base a modern innovation economy needs, so this report sets out to answer a simple question: where are the results? Benchmarking 55 institutions and over 300 stakeholders against WIPO data, the Global Innovation Index, and World Bank statistics, it reaches a striking verdict: the system is "architecturally complete and commercially empty," with little licensing revenue, few spinoffs, and little protected IP to show for decades of effort. It names five specific design flaws behind the gap and lays out 15 sequenced reforms to close it by 2030.
