Entlaq published the second edition of its bi-annual Egyptian Entrepreneurship Sector Diagnostics Report, covering the first half of 2024.

The edition was produced with the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA) and the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), with TikTok as main partner, Flat6Labs, Sawari Ventures and Magnitt as gold partner, and Wamda as knowledge partner.

The report scores the sector at 2.94, slightly up on the second half of 2023. It finds entrepreneurship accounts for 7 per cent of foreign direct investment into Egypt and has created roughly 50,000 direct and 250,000 indirect jobs, combining qualitative and quantitative research across educational hubs, fintech regulation, agricultural support and ICT innovation.
